Municipal Offices and Brant Landfill Closed for Canada Day 2026
The Brockton Child Care Centre, and Community Services (Parks and Recreation) Administration Office, Municipal Office and the Brant Landfill will be closed on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 for Canada Day. Our offices reopen on Thursday, July 2, 2026 and the Brant Landfill will reopen on Saturday, July 4, 2026. We invite you to join in the variety of celebrations happening at Centennial Park in Walkerton from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. including inflatables and activities, foam party, free swim, BBQ and cake, live music and more! Happy Canada Day!

Green Bin Registration
The Municipality of Brockton will be implementing a single-source organics (Green Bin) program this Fall. As part of the 2026 Budget, the Municipality will be providing Green Bins at no cost to residents of Walkerton that currently receive curbside collection. Walkerton residents are invited to voluntarily register to receive a green bin at no cost by completing the Green Bin Registration Form. Read the News Post for more information
