Brockton Clerk Announces 2026 Official Municipal and School Board Election Results

Brockton, ON, October 27, 2026 - In the 2026 Brockton Municipal and School Board Election, 3,832 eligible voters cast their ballot for Deputy Mayor, Councillors and School Board Trustee candidates for the 2026-2030 term. The Mayor position was acclaimed. At 4:00 p.m. today, the Clerk announced the official results of the Brockton 2026 Municipal and School Board Election.

Brockton saw voter turnout of 45.1% with 3,832 voters, out of the 8,494 eligible electors, casting their ballot by internet or telephone. The Municipality continued to make voting accessible for all residents by offering internet and telephone voting, as well as Voting Help Centres at the Municipal Office in Walkerton and Cargill Community Centre. The Municipality has offered internet and telephone voting since 2010. In 2022, the voter turnout was 2,839 (35.4%) of 8,012 electors.

The successful candidates for each office in the 2026 Brockton Municipal and School Board Election are as follows:

Results were posted to the Municipality of Brockton’s Election Results webpage, and candidates were notified personally by the Clerk. 

The Municipality thanks all electors for making their voice heard in the 2026 Election. The new Council will be sworn in at the Inaugural Council Meeting on November 17, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.
