As of 8:00 a.m. on January 20, 2026, the Municipality of Brockton has declared a Significant Weather Event in accordance with Ontario Regulation 366/18. All roads and sidewalks maintained by the Municipality will be in a "state of repair" until further notice. This declaration is not a notice of closed roads and the Municipality of Brockton remains diligent in providing continued winter maintenance to ensure public safety. Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to use an appropriate level of caution when travelling during this event.

Council will hold a Special Council Meeting to consider the Candidates who applied for the Council Vacancy, to fill the vacant Councillor seat for the remainder of the 2026 Council Term. Council will hear from the Candidates, and vote to appoint one individual as the new Councillor. This meeting will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton) and electronically on Zoom Video Conferencing and livestreamed to the Municipality's Agenda Management Software, eSCRIBE.
