The Municipality of Brockton announces that Sharon Bross, Child Care Manager at the Brockton Child Care Centre, will retire effective January 13, 2025. Read the News Post for more information.

The Municipality of Brockton has been made aware that several News Posts were emailed out to subscribers in error this morning, January 4, 2025 following one News Post being published regarding today's temporary closure of the Brant Landfill and Greenock Transfer Station. This issue is being addressed by our website provider with hopes that this error does not occur again in the future. We kindly ask that you delete the duplicate News Posts from your email inbox. The Brant Landfill and the Greenock Transfer Station are both closed today, Saturday, January 4, 2025 due to the weather conditions. Thank you for your cooperation.

The Brant Landfill will be closed on December 25, 2024 and January 1, 2025. The Brant Landfill and Greenock Transfer Station will both remain open on December 28, 2024. 

The Municipal Office, Community Services (Parks and Recreation) Administration Office, and Brockton Child Care Centre will be closed at 1:00 p.m. on December 24, 2024 until January 1, 2025. All Offices reopen on January 2, 2025. Staff and Council wish you a happy holiday season!

Due to Christmas Day and New Years Day falling on a Wednesday, residents in Walkerton East (East of Yonge Street) will have their garbage collected this Monday, December 23, 2024 instead of December 25th and on Monday, December 30, 2024 instead of January 1st.
