Confirm You are on the Voters List

Register to Vote is a Province-wide online tool that allows voters to register to vote in the Municipal Election. Visit www.RegisterToVoteON.ca to update your information or add yourself to the Voters List by August 12, 2026. You can also email info@registertovoteon.ca or call 1-866-242-3025.

Whether you are a life-long resident, have recently moved to Brockton, live in a newer subdivision, are a tenant, or turned 18 since the 2022 Municipal Election we encourage everyone to confirm that you are on the Voters List. You will be required to provide proof of identity and residence.

School Support

Whether you own or rent your home, your property is linked to a school board - even if they do not have children, or your children aren't currently attending school. You have the option to choose which school board you support. If you don't make a choice, your support defaults to the English Public school board. School support is used for both assessment purposes (allocation of tax dollars) and electoral purposes (voting).

It is your responsibility to ensure your school support information is correct on your tax bill and on the voters' list.

The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) is responsible for collecting school support  designation information under the Education Act, to provide it to Elections Ontario for the creation of the Preliminary List of Electors for the Municipal and School Board Election.

Property owners, occupants, and tenants can update their school support designation online through MPAC's About My Property or MPAC's online tenant portal. A paper Application for Direction of School Support is also available. Your change will be recorded by MPAC, but it will not appear on the Preliminary List of Electors. After submitting your update, you’ll receive an email confirmation and should share this information with the Municipality to update the final Voters List.

View our Adjustment Requests webpage to learn more about how to change your school support for both your Property Taxes and in advance of the Election.
