The agenda for the Municipality of Brockton Council Meeting on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. is available on our Current Council Meeting Agenda webpage. This meeting will be conducted at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton, ON N0G 2V0) and electronically on Zoom Video Conferencing and livestreamed to the Municipality's Agenda Management Software, eSCRIBE. As of July 9, 2026, Phase 2 of the Durham Street Bridge Rehabilitation continues in Walkerton. From 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, there will be alternating, single-lane traffic with traffic control in place. From 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., the bridge will have both lanes open for two-way traffic. Bruce County anticipates completion of bridge surface work by the end of July 2026. Work beneath the bridge for pier rehabilitation will continue through August. Read the News Post or visit Bruce County's website for more information.

The Brockton Child Care Centre, and Community Services (Parks and Recreation) Administration Office, Municipal Office and the Brant Landfill will be closed on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 for Canada Day. Our offices reopen on Thursday, July 2, 2026 and the Brant Landfill will reopen on Saturday, July 4, 2026. We invite you to join in the variety of celebrations happening at Centennial Park in Walkerton from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. including inflatables and activities, foam party, free swim, BBQ and cake, live music and more!
