Municipal road crews have resumed winter maintenance activities. A reminder that the Municipality of Brockton remains under a significant weather event. Please be patient, as it will take longer than usual for plows to complete their routes while the roads remain in a state of repair. Motorists are advised not to travel on untreated roads.

Due to area road closures, please be advised that on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 the Brockton Child Care Centre will delay opening the Centre until 9:00 a.m. The Before School Program will be cancelled on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 due to the inclement weather. 

Please be advised that as of 3:30 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2025 the Municipality of Brockton's Operations Department have ceased all winter maintenance operations until further notice due to the weather. All Brockton roads are to be considered closed.

Municipal Offices will be closed on Monday, February 17, 2025 for Family Day and reopen on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Read  the News Post for more information.

The Municipality of Brockton is undertaking a review and update of its Walkerton Official Plan and Brockton Comprehensive Zoning By-law.

Take notice that on Tuesday March 18, 2025 the Council of the Municipality of Brockton will hold a hybrid public meeting, pursuant to section 26 of the Planning Act, to provide an opportunity to discuss the Official Plan and Zoning By-law review, process and any revisions that may be required to the Official Plan and Zoning By-law.

Due to the impending inclement weather expected, as of 12:00 p.m. today, the Municipality of Brockton has declared a Significant Weather Event in accordance with Ontario Regulation 366/18. The Municipality of Brockton is pleased to announce that we are a successful recipient of the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC’s) Housing Accelerator Fund. We are pleased to receive access to $3.4 million in funding which can be allocated towards infrastructure that supports new and existing residents, supports programs and policies to advance needed units, and increases the available supply for attainably priced units in the growing community of Brockton.
