The Voting Period opens Monday, October 19, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. and will remain open until Monday, October 26, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. Electors can cast their ballot by telephone or internet anytime, anywhere during the voting period. Brockton, ON – October 14, 2026 – Walkerton’s Fish Art Walking Tour made a splash this summer, with 269 participants completing the full 12-sculpture tour as part of the Municipality of Brockton’s Find the Fish Walking Adventure. Read the Media Release for more information.

The Municipal Office, Community Services (Parks and Recreation) Administrative Office, and Brockton Child Care Centre are closed on Monday, October 12, 2026 in recognition of Thanksgiving Day. Our offices reopen on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Staff and Council wish you a safe and happy holiday weekend!

The Brant Landfill is closed today, Wednesday, August 26, 2026. The landfill should reopen on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

August 19, 2026 Brockton, ON - At the 2026 Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Conference, Councillor Steve Travale of the Municipality of Brockton was elected to the AMO Board of Directors, representing the Rural Caucus. Read the News Post to read the full News Release.

The watermain break on Ridout Street has been successfully repaired and water service has been restored to normal. Residents on the Walkerton Water System may now resume normal water use. Thank you for your cooperation and patience while crews worked to address the issue. There were no concerns with the safety or quality of the drinking water system as a result of this incident. We appreciate the efforts of our crews and the cooperation of residents during this time.

Residents on the Walkerton Water System should continue to conserve water - limiting showers, lawn watering, dishwasher and washer use - until further notice. Crews continue to address the watermain break on Ridout Street, Walkerton. Residents may be experiencing low to no water pressures until crews have it fixed. There are currently no concerns with the safety or quality of the drinking water system. The water conservation request is to help maintain adequate water supply and pressure while crews complete the repairs. We appreciate your cooperation and will provide another update once more information is available.
