National Volunteer Week 2026 - Submit Your Volunteer Recognition Award Nominations
It's National Volunteer Week! The theme for this year's National Volunteer Week is Ignite Volunteerism, celebrating the ways people have ignited volunteerism in their communities.
The Municipality of Brockton appreciates the dedication of all of our volunteers, including members of Committees, Boards, and Service Clubs! Our 2026 Volunteer Recognition Awards: the Edward J. (Ted) Cobean Heritage Conservation Award, the Brockton Good Neighbour Award and the Walkerton & District Optimist Club's Outstanding Youth Award are now available on our Volunteer Appreciation webpage.
We encourage you to submit a nomination for community members and outstanding youth that you feel should be recognized for their efforts! Nominations for the Heritage Award are due Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Noon and Nominations for the Good Neighbour Award and Youth Award are due Monday, May 25, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
The awards will be presented at the Municipality's Volunteer Recognition Event on June 11, 2026 at the Walkerton Community Centre from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
