Walkerton Snow Removal - December 17, 2025
Municipal staff will be clearing excess snow from streets in Walkerton on Wednesday December 17 starting at 1:00 a.m. Please ensure all vehicles are off the roads to assist with snow clearing. Any vehicle obstructing the removal of snow will be towed at the owner’s expense.
A reminder that Winter Parking Provisions remain in effect - no person may park on a highway between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. during the months of November to April.

Reminder of Brockton Councillor Vacancy
A reminder that a vacancy exists on the Municipality of Brockton Council for one (1) Councillor. Council will fill this vacancy by appointment in accordance with the Council Vacancy Replacement Procedure Policy. The term of this position is from the date of Council appointment (mid-January 2026) until the swearing in of the next Council after the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election (November 14, 2026). Bruce County Media Release: Durham Street Bridge in Walkerton Temporarily Re-Opens
Bruce County, Ontario: The Durham Street Bridge on Bruce Road 4 in Walkerton will temporarily re-open to two-lane traffic on December 19, 2025. Utility (Water) Bill Installments are due on December 31, 2025. Please note that the Municipal Office will be closed for the holidays from 1:00 p.m. on December 24, 2025 until January 1, 2026, reopening on January 2, 2026 at 8:30 a.m. Residents are encouraged to pay their bill prior to the December 24th office closure. Notice of Public Meetings - New Walkerton Official Plan and Brockton Community Improvement Plan Update
Take notice that the Municipality of Brockton will be holding two public meetings under Sections 17 and 28 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, C.P.13. The first meeting is a statutory public meeting for a new Official Plan for Walkerton. The second public meeting is for a new Community Improvement Plan update that will provide financial incentives related to multi-unit and affordable housing for eligible properties in the Municipality. The Meetings will be held on December 17, 2025 at 10:00 am. at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton). Read the News Post for more information.
