Significant Weather Event Ended - January 27, 2025
As of 10:00 a.m. on January 27, 2025 the Municipality of Brockton has ended the Significant Weather Event. Caution should still be observed as regular maintenance activities are still occurring to return the roadway and sidewalk conditions to a state of repair.

Significant Weather Event Declared January 20, 2025
As of 11:00 a.m. today, January 20, 2025, the Municipality of Brockton has declared a Significant Weather Event in accordance with Ontario Regulation 366/18. Holiday Landfill Hours
The Brant Landfill will be closed on December 25, 2024 and January 1, 2025. The Brant Landfill and Greenock Transfer Station will both remain open on December 28, 2024.

Municipal Holiday Hours
The Municipal Office, Community Services (Parks and Recreation) Administration Office, and Brockton Child Care Centre will be closed at 1:00 p.m. on December 24, 2024 until January 1, 2025. All Offices reopen on January 2, 2025. Staff and Council wish you a happy holiday season!

Garbage Collection Change Due to Christmas and New Years Days
Due to Christmas Day and New Years Day falling on a Wednesday, residents in Walkerton East (East of Yonge Street) will have their garbage collected this Monday, December 23, 2024 instead of December 25th and on Monday, December 30, 2024 instead of January 1st.

Walkerton Snow Removal - December 19, 2024
Municipal staff will be clearing excess snow from streets in Walkerton on Thursday, December 19, 2024 starting at 1:00 a.m. Please ensure all vehicles are off the roads to assist with snow clearing.
