Council Highlights - January 12 & 13, 2026

The Council of the Municipality of Brockton met on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. for Special Council Meeting to discuss the 2026 Mayor's Budget, and again on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 for a regular Council Meeting. Both meetings were held at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton) and electronically on Zoom Video Conferencing and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eScribe. Council Meeting Highlights - January 12 and 13, 2026

• Council held their second Budget Meeting on January 12, 2026. The January 27, 2026 6:00 pm Budget Meeting has been cancelled.
• Annual updates from the Building, and Animal Control/By-Law Enforcement Departments were provided for review.
• Updates to the Council Conference and Conventions Policy and Council Expense Reimbursement Policy were approved.
• Bruce County will be the host Municipality receiving gas tax funding for Saugeen Mobility and Regional Transit.
• The updated Community Improvement Plan and new Walkerton Official Plan were approved.
• Council will hold a Special Council Meeting to appoint the new Councillor on January 22, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.

Upcoming Council Meetings

• As noted in the Council Highlights, a Special Council Meeting to appoint the new Councillor will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.
• As noted in the Council Highlights, the third Budget Meeting scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 has been cancelled.
• The next regular Council Meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

These meetings will be held in a hybrid format in-person at the Bruce County Council Chambers and electronically on Zoom and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eScribe.

Brockton Council meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated.
