Notice of Intention to Pass a By-Law to Remove Holding Symbol

Take Notice that Council of the Corporation of The Municipality of Brockton intends to pass a By-Law under Section 34 of the Planning Act, 1990 to remove the ‘H’ holding symbol from the lands described as 460 Concession 2 SDR, Municipality of Brockton.

The Holding symbol is proposed to be removed because the conditions, as outlined in the Municipality of Brockton’s Zoning By-Law, have been satisfied. Removal of the Holding symbol will facilitate the development of the lot.

Public Virtual Town Hall
Bruce Area Solid Waste Recycling Governance

Residents were invited to participate in a Virtual Town Hall on July 7, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom Video Conferencing, facilitated by KPMG Canada, to learn more about the proposed governance model for BASWR.

This session was part of the ongoing public consultation process to gather resident feedback on the governance and operating model for BASWR. The Town Hall was focused on proposed changes in the governance structure of BASWR, and not on the operations or service delivery of the organization.

During the session, participants:

  • Received an overview of BASWR's current governance structure and the purpose of the Municipal Services Corporation Business Case
  • Learned about governance changes being considered
  • Had an opportunity to ask questions and provide input
