Lobies Park Campground is located on the beautiful Saugeen River at the north end of Walkerton.
Open Victoria Day Weekend until Thanksgiving Day it features many amenities including full service sites, dumping station, washroom and shower facilities, canoe launch, playground and is within walking distance of downtown Walkerton.

Campground Rules & Guidelines |
- All campers renting sites hereby acknowledge and represent that the rental of the site is for recreational purposes only and all users maintain their own separate, private residential dwellings.
- Full payment of camping fees is required at the time your reservation is made.
- The campsite permit holder must be sixteen years of age or older, if any guests will be under the age of sixteen, there must be at least one occupant who is eighteen years of age.
- Any person camping overnight at Lobies Campground will be issued a camping permit, by Lobies Campground Manager.
- Only six persons, and a maximum of one vehicle, one trailer & one small tent, are allowed to occupy each serviced campsite, unless otherwise authorized by Park Management. Larger groups will be accommodated at the discretion of Management as space allows. Extra parking space is provided in the designated areas outside the campground.
- All visitors must vacate Park by 11:00 p.m.
- Park Quiet hours are from 11:00 p.m. through 8:00 a.m.
- Picnic tables shall not be removed from any sites.
- Campers shall keep their respective site in a clean and tidy order, and all pets must be tied and/or on a leash at all times.
- Campfires must be controlled in a pit area and supervised at all times. All fires must be extinguished by 1:00 a.m. At any time during a fire ban no person is permitted to have a fire.
- Anyone caught damaging any park facilities or property may be subject to charges and immediate removal from the campground.
- Campsite checkout time is 11:00 a.m. Check-in 2:00 p.m.
- Parking for one vehicle is included with your campsite permit.
- No alcoholic beverages will be permitted beyond the campsite area. "Campsite Area" shall mean the number of the campsite to which a camping permit has been issued under this by-law and the area within a 25-foot radius of the actual campfire site associated with a designated campsite.
- Motor and/or mini-bikes are prohibited in the park area, save and except on designated road ways when being used as used as vehicular access to the park and the authorized campsites.
- Generators are not permitted at Lobies Campground.
- Possession or use of fireworks is prohibited in Lobies Campground at all times.
- Discharge of sewage shall only be permitted at the park trailer dumping station or full-service sites. Discharge or disposal of sewage or grey water onto the ground or into the water is strictly prohibited.
- Persons breaching these regulations shall vacate the park immediately upon being ordered to do so by Municipality of Brockton Official personnel (Police Department or Park Management) and may be subject to charges. Campers evicted from Lobies Campground shall not receive a refund of their permit fees.
- The Municipality of Brockton is not responsible for loss or damage to any camping unit or personal property.
- No Lifeguard on duty - Swim at your own risk
Seasonal Site Rules
- “Seasonal Site” shall mean any site rented for the entire period from May 17, 2024 to October 14, 2024. Unless otherwise states, these rules shall apply to all sites, including Seasonal Sites.
- All campers renting Seasonal Sites hereby acknowledge and represent that the rental of the site is for recreational purposes only and all users maintain their own separate, private residential dwellings.
- Seasonal campers are responsible for the upkeep of their site, including but not limited to cutting grass.
- No additional structures such as sheds, fences, gardens or flowerbeds are permitted on the campsite. No refrigerators or other appliances except BBQs will be permitted outside of the camping unit.
- All campers renting Seasonal Sites acknowledge and agree that the Seasonal Sites shall be made available annually at Brockton’s sole discretion on a first come first serve basis. Reservation of a Seasonal Sites one season does not guarantee site availability or preferential reservation for subsequent seasons.
- Seasonal campsites will be available on a first come basis for reservations from February 1st to 29, 2024. Site preference will not be granted under any circumstances. Payment is due at time of reservation.
- Any seasonal sites not reserved by February 29, 2024 will be available for overnight bookings effective March 1, 2024.
- All trailers and possessions must be removed from the seasonal site no later than October 14, 2024 at 11am.
- Permit ends on October 14, 2024 – campground closing date.
Cancellation Policy
- 14 days or greater - 100% refund minus $10.00 administration fee.
- Less than 14 days - no refund. Equivalent value will be offered and must be used within the current camping season. Failure to notify of a late arrival will be treated as a "No Show", and after 24hrs will result in loss of reservation.
- Early Departures - In the event of campers departing their reservation early, there will be no refunds or equal credit offered towards next stay.
- All cancellations must be administered via email with a confirmation response from staff. Cancellations can also be made in person or verbally over the phone at Brockton Parks and Recreation office between 9am and 4pm daily. NOTE…Voice mail cancellations will not be accepted.
- Failure to notify of late arrival that exceeds 24hrs will result in loss of reservation with no equivalent value offered.
The Municipality of Brockton is not responsible for loss or damage to any camping unit or personal property. All equipment and valuables shall be kept inside the camping unit upon retiring at night or when leaving campsite unattended.
