Municipal Offices Closed for Easter

The Municipal Office, Community Services (Parks and Recreation) Administrative Office, and Brockton Child Care Centre are closed for Easter on Friday, April 3rd and Monday, April 6th, 2026. Our offices reopen on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026. Staff and Council wish you a safe and happy holiday weekend!

Enhanced Monitoring of Pinkerton Flooding

Extensive flooding is occurring in Pinkerton due to a breach of a privately-owned dyke. The Municipality of Brockton is continuing to coordinate with external agencies, including the County of Bruce, Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority, Ministry of Natural Resources and other Provincial agencies. 

The Municipality remains in an Enhanced Monitoring State, with the Municipal Emergency Control Group meeting regularly to assess conditions and coordinate response efforts. Municipal crews continue to conduct daily site inspections, ongoing monitoring, and maintain regular communications with the affected residents.

Residents are strongly advised to avoid the area and refrain from accessing closed roads as roadways may be compromised. Due to elevated water levels and limited access to the site, repairs will take time.

The Municipality will continue to provide updates as the situation evolves.

Notice of Walkerton Watermain Flushing - April & May 2026

As part of the ongoing maintenance of the Walkerton Water System, Veolia Water will be flushing the Walkerton distribution system throughout April and May. This is estimated to take approximately 1 ½ months to complete. Residents are asked to run a cold water tap after the flushing has been completed in their area to discharge any discoloured water before use. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
