Monitoring Teeswater River Flooding in Pinkerton
The Municipality of Brockton in conjunction with appropriate agencies, Saugeen Conservation, Bruce County and the Ministry of Natural Resources are continuing to monitor ongoing flooding situations. Unfortunately due to flooding conditions from the Teeswater River in Pinkerton, Bruce Road 15 between Bruce Road 3 and Bruce Road 20 is closed, and emergency services can no longer travel directly through this area.
Emergency responders are aware of the situation and will use alternate routes to provide services when and if needed. Please use caution near waterways and flooded areas. Keep children and pets away.
There is an expectation that some of this water will freeze up with the forecasted conditions; however that doesn’t mean the ice will be stable. Please stay off frozen areas for your safety.
We extend our appreciation to Operations staff and emergency responders on their winter maintenance efforts as well as the recent flooding and winter storm warnings.
