Council Meeting Highlights - November 4, 2025

• Council approved a Local Official Plan Amendment and Zoning Amendment for Bruce County Housing Corporation’s new 4-storey affordable housing building in East Ridge Business Park that will serve low to moderate income households.
• A new Memorandum of Understanding between the Walkerton Agricultural Society, Walkerton Minor Hockey and the Municipality was approved supporting ice operations at the Power Workers Union Centre.
• An annual update on the Municipality’s website and social media analytics was provided.
• Council discussed the updated Councillor Vacancy process and will hold a Special Meeting in January to appoint a new Councillor to fill Councillor Kuhnke’s seat.

Upcoming Public Meeting and Council Meeting

• A reminder that a Public Meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton) to discuss proposed changes to Building Permit Fees. View the Notice of Public Meeting for more information. 
• The next regular Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at approximately 7:00 p.m. (following the Public Meeting) at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton) and electronically on Zoom Video Conferencing and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eSCRIBE.

Brockton Council meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated.
