The Council of the Municipality of Brockton met on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton) and electronically on Zoom Video Conferencing and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eScribe. Council Meeting Highlights - February 24, 2026

• A Plan of Subdivision in the East Ridge Business Park was considered. Local developers also submitted a Request for Expression of Interest to develop lands in East Ridge to incentivize “missing middle” housing units.
• 2025 Fire and Emergency Services statistics were reviewed.
• The Municipality will enter into an extended lease agreement with the Ministry of Transportation to maintain the former Recycling Depot facility for Community Services storage.
• A grant application is being submitted to replace the elevator lift at the Walkerton Community Centre.
• Council provided financial contributions towards the 2026 International Plowing Match.

• The next regular Council Meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at the Bruce County Council Chambers and electronically on Zoom and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eScribe.

Brockton Council meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated.
