Council Meeting Highlights - February 24, 2026
- A Plan of Subdivision in the East Ridge Business Park was considered. Local developers also submitted a Request for Expression of Interest to develop lands in East Ridge to incentivize “missing middle” housing units.
- 2025 Fire and Emergency Services statistics were reviewed.
- The Municipality will enter into an extended lease agreement with the Ministry of Transportation to maintain the former Recycling Depot facility for Community Services storage.
- A grant application is being submitted to replace the elevator lift at the Walkerton Community Centre.
- Council provided financial contributions towards the 2026 International Plowing Match.

- The next regular Council Meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at the Bruce County Council Chambers and electronically on Zoom and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eScribe.
