Council Meeting Highlights - December 9, 2025

• Mayor Chris Peabody received a Long-Standing Service Award for his 25 Years on Brockton Council.
• Walkerton Firefighters, Adam Penner and John Markauskas received Long-Standing Service Awards
• The Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board has applied for funding to build a new child care facility and renovate the existing Brockton Child Care Centre.
• The Municipality of Brockton, Town of Hanover, and Municipality of West Grey entered into a Cost Sharing Agreement for the Saugeen Municipal Airport.
• Council received the 2025 Brockton Accomplishments, listing various activities completed by all departments during the year.

Upcoming Public Meeting and Council Meetings

• A reminder that a Public Meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton) to discuss the new Walkerton Community Official Plan, and the updated Community Improvement Plan. • Following the Public Meeting on Tuesday, December 17, 2025, Council will hold a Special Council Meeting to discuss the 2026 Mayor's Budget.
• The next regular Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton) and electronically on Zoom Video Conferencing and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eSCRIBE

Brockton Council meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated.
