Council Meeting Highlights - August 26, 2025

• Walkerton Centennial Park Pavilion will be rebuilt with options for program storage and a future kitchen.
• The 2026 Fees and Charges were approved.
• Council received an update on changes to Ontario’s Blue Box recycling program which take effect January 1, 2026.
• The Municipality will release a Request for Proposals for Engineering Services in September to assist with public works and operations, development, and waste management.
• Council will proceed to appoint a new Councillor later this year following Carl Kuhnke’s November 30th resignation.
• An updated lease agreement with Saugeen Mobility and Regional Transit was approved.

Upcoming Committee of Adjustment and Council Meetings

• The Committee of Adjustment will meet again on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton) and electronically on Zoom Video Conferencing and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eSCRIBE.
• The next regular Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at approximately 7:00 p.m. at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton) and electronically on Zoom Video Conferencing and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eSCRIBE.

Brockton Council meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated.
