Partial Open Air Burn Ban Lifted - August 20, 2025

The Chief Fire Official for Brockton has lifted the partial open air burn ban as of 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. The partial burn ban was issued on August 11, 2025 due to recent extreme temperatures and a lack of rainfall.

Agricultural, brush, and derelict building burn permits can now resume. Recreational fires (for cooking and warmth) can also continue, in compliance with Brockton’s Open Air Burn By-Law 2017-034.
