2026 Budget Feedback
The Municipality of Brockton is seeking feedback to assist with preparation of the 2026 Budget.
As of May 1, 2025, the Province of Ontario expanded Strong Mayor Powers for several municipalities in Ontario, including the Municipality of Brockton. Visit our Strong Mayor Powers webpage to learn more about this authority.
Under the Strong Mayor Powers authority, the Mayor is responsible for preparing and proposing a budget to Council by February 1st of each year.
Mayor Peabody is inviting community input to help inform budget preparation through the following methods:
- Service Group/Organizations (Community User Group) Budget Requests
Service groups/organizations that would like to make a budget request from the Municipality of Brockton can submit a budget request by completing a Budget Request Form by September 10, 2025. - Community Budget (Engagement) Survey
Help shape the draft 2026 Budget by letting us know what's important to you! Residents and business owners can complete the online (anonymous) Community Budget Survey by September 10, 2025 and your input will be incorporated into the creation of the 2026 Budget.
Visit our Mayor's Budget webpage to learn more about changes to the 2026 Budget process as a result of the Province of Ontario's Strong Mayor Power authority. Legislation does not allow the Mayor to delegate their powers and duties related to the budget.
