There are number of multi-use trails within the municipality. Accessible year round, there's a trail for every activity, age and skill level.
Saugeen River Trail System |
Built on the old railway lines that ran in the late 1800s the Saugeen River Rail Trail is a year-round, multi-use trail that offers over 5 kilometres of beautiful scenic views alongside the Saugeen River. Brant Tract |
Head out on this 11.9-km loop trail near Cargill, Ontario. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 3 h 14 min to complete. This trail is great for hiking, mountain biking, and running, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. |
Bruce County Rail Trail |
The Bruce County Rail Trail extends from Port Elgin to Bruce Power and from Port Elgin through the towns of Paisley, Walkerton and Mildmay to the Huron-Bruce line. This 80km trail consists of ballast stone and A gravel. |

- Trails are for non-motorized use only.
- Pedestrians and mobility devices always have the right of way.
- Ride on the right, pass on the left.
- When stopped, move safely off to one side of the trail.
- Keep dogs leashed and in your care and control.
- Clean-up after your dog.
- Show courtesy to all trail users. Share the trail.
- Put garbage in its place, leave no trace.
