Home to both the Saugeen and Teeswater Rivers, Brockton offers first-class fly fishing, and anglers will find the feeder streams and spring-fed lakes offer an abundance of brown trout, bass, and pike. Most game species can be caught in the Saugeen and the river is easy to access featuring a variety of trails, boat launches and access points. The mighty Saugeen River offers a variety of conditions for canoeists and kayakers. There are a number of launch points along the Saugeen within Brockton. The Saugeen River Paddling Route starts at the highest point in the Hanover Town Park (742 7th Avenue, Hanover) and flows 102 Kilometers downstream through scenic, small town countryside, to Denny's Dam near Southampton and empties into Lake Huron. |
