The Municipal Office located at 100 Scott Street, Walkerton remains open for service during the Canada Post strike. Residents who do not feel comfortable visiting the Municipal Office during the Canada Post strike can contact staff by email or phone, drop-off documentation and/or payments to our Municipal Office Drop-Off box which is checked regularly by staff. The upcoming utility (water) bill due date of October 31, 2025 remains in effect.

Bruce County has closed the 12th of Brant Bridge, located on Concession 12 between Sideroad 5 and Bruce Road 19, near Chesley, to through traffic until further notice. As a precautionary measure, the bridge will remain closed until a structural inspection can be completed to determine whether the bridge remains safe for public use. Follow posted signage and allow extra travel time.
