After-Hours Emergency
For after-hour emergencies relating to Animal Control, By-Law Enforcement, Community Services (Parks, Recreation, and Trails) and Operations (Roads and Utilities) please call 1-833-999-4599 and follow the prompts. For emergencies involving EMS, Fire, or Police, call 911.
How to Use the After-Hours Emergency Phone Number
For Operations:
If you are experiencing an after-hours emergency situation related to roads, water or sewers, call 1-833-999-4599 and press option #1 where you will speak to a staff member for assistance.
Examples of emergency circumstances include:
Roads - flooding over roads, blocked culverts, missing stop signs
Water - watermain breaks, no water
Sewer - sewer breaks, sewage flowing in a basement
Routine turn off and turn on, locate requests for planned work and discoloured water at a location not used frequently are not emergencies. For non-emergencies, please call 519-881-2223 Monday to Friday, 8:30AM to 4:30PM.
For By-law and Animal Enforcement
If you are requiring after-hours By-Law Enforcement or Animal Control services related to an occurrence or contravention of a municipal by-law or for animal control services related to a missing or found dog at large, please call 1-833-999-4599 and press option #2 where your call will be directed to the By-Law Enforcement and Animal Control Officer.
Regular office hours of the By-Law Enforcement and Animal Officer are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. The Officer can be contacted during regular business hours by calling 519-881-2223 extension 141. After hour By-Law Enforcement and Animal Control services are solely dependent on the discretion and availability of the Officer.
For the Recreation Department
If you are experiencing an after-hours emergency related to parks, facilities, and trails please call 1-833-999-4599 and press option #3 where you will speak to a staff member for assistance.
Examples of emergency circumstances include:
Downed tree, trail washout, unable to access a rented facility, property damage with potential to cause bodily harm, or if bathroom facilities are inoperable.
For non-emergencies, please call 519-881-0625 Monday to Friday, 8:30AM to 4:30PM.
