Engineering RFP - Notice of Intent

The Municipality of Brockton is intending to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) in the early September 2025 for Engineering Services for various engineering disciplines.

The purpose of this notice is to provide early awareness of this impending RFP in our effort to support broad and fair competition for this procurement.

Please note that Municipality will not entertain questions regarding this RFP until the RFP is released.

Potential Scope of Services Included (high level):

• Public Works and Operations Engineering – Master planning, engineering design for civil and structural services, contract administration, site inspection, surveying, environmental assessments, structural bridge inspections, water and waste water distribution and supply systems and treatment centres as well as storm water management and development review and supports. (*Note – general may be split into further disciplines at the time of RFP release).
• Planning Engineers - Subdivision plans, site plan reviews, provide comments on planning applications as needed, attend public meetings, including Council meetings, ensuring compliance with information sharing requirements including indigenous engagement and conservation authority coordination.
• Waste Management Engineering – Siting, permitting, geotechnical/hydrogeological investigations, liner and cover system designs, leachate management, vertical and lateral expansion designs, surface water management landfill gas management, including carbon/emissions trading and landfill-gas-to-energy systems, construction management, closure/post closure monitoring remediation, groundwater monitoring/assessment.

The following dates are only estimates and are provided to illustrate the current expectations for timing of actions related to this RFP and the resultant contract for services.
