The Municipality of Brockton is committed to accessibility in our communities. Accessibility is an important part of everything the Municipality does. We are doing as much as we can to make sure that everyone can access the information they need. Multi-Year Accessibility Plan
Under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) the Municipality is required to plan and implement a Multi Year Accessibility Plan. Brockton strives to meet the recommendations in the plan and will update the schedules when recommendations are implemented. The Municipality adopted an updated 2021-2025 Multi Year Accessibility Plan on December 14, 2021.

Accessible Formats and Communication Supports |

Website Compliance |
The Municipal website design has been developed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level AA with responsive design for desktops, mobiles and tablets. By January 1, 2014, all website content, documents and tools were required to be in compliance with the provincial standard, which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level A. Beginning January 1, 2021 all public websites and web content posted after January 1, 2012 must meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA. |

The guide provides information on no-cost and low-cost actions that can help reduce barriers for people with disabilities and make all types of events more inclusive. We welcome customer feedback to identify areas where changes need to be considered and ways in which the Municipality can improve the delivery of accessible goods and services.
