Council Meeting Highlights - September 12, 2023

  • Council approved the purchase of a One Ton Truck for the Operations Department.
  • The 2024 Council Meeting dates, including the Budget Meetings in January and February 2024 were approved.
  • The contract with the Ontario Provincial Police will be extended until December 2024 or until the enactment of the Community Safety and Policing Act.
  • An additional report will be brought forward to consider the future of the Saugeen Municipal Airport.
  • The Traffic and Parking By-Law was amended to move the accessible parking space location in front of 100 Scott Street, and add accessible parking spots at Centennial Pool, the Splash Pad, and the Tennis Courts on James Street, Walkerton.

Upcoming Council Meeting

The September 26, 2023 Council Meeting will occur at 7:00 p.m. at the Bruce County Council Chambers (30 Park Street, Walkerton). The meeting will be held in a hybrid format in-person at the Council Chambers and electronically on Zoom and livestreamed to the Municipality of Brockton's Agenda Management Software, eSCRIBE.

Brockton Council meet the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated.
