An inclusive community of many generations and interests nestled in the rolling countryside of the Saugeen and Teeswater rivers, we offer programs, activities and events for people of all ages, plus a thriving downtown core in Walkerton. We are a hard-working bunch, but we take our fun very seriously!

News, Alerts, and Service DisruptionsStay informed about your community by subscribing to our news and alerts which will be delivered right to your email inbox! You can choose your preferred type of news and alerts when you subscribe. The Municipality issues a monthly newsletter, the Brockton Buzz, to residents providing updates on services, programs, news, and events. The Brockton Buzz is posted electronically each month, and mailed to households in Brockton four times a year to coincide with taxes. You can subscribe to receive the Brockton Buzz by email. The Municipality also has a newsletter geared towards business owners that is issued electronically. Visit our Business Newsletter page to learn more. Garbage is picked up weekly, according to your area of residence. We also have a number of recycling programs in Brockton; our Recycling Depot is located at 320 Kincardine Highway, Walkerton. Water and SewerThe town of Walkerton relies on ground water supplies for its potable water. The municipal water system is managed by Veolia Water Canada Inc. Water lines are metered in the town as a conservation measure. For more information visit the Water and Sewer page of Brockton's website. ElectricityBrockton residents are serviced by both Hydro One Networks in the rural area and Westario Power in the town of Walkerton. Like many other communities across Ontario, new electricity prices have been transitioned to Time-of-Use (TOU) pricing as an energy conservation measure.
