Paddling The River

• the entire route can be completed in 3 to 4 days
• suitable for beginners and experienced canoeists alike
• broad and placid sections and stretches of rapids and eddies
• rapids are generally easy except during times of high water flow, such as early spring
• three dam portages
• parks, access points and camping along the route
• supplies can be purchased en route
• local wildlife including deer, great blue herons, mallards, beavers and muskrats to name a few
