Summer Camps will operate weekly from July 4th - September 2nd, 2022

Registration will begin Wednesday April 27th, 2022

Summer Camps

Summer Fun Camp - Campers will enjoy a variety of interactive outdoor games, play based activities and make new friends along the way. Each day will be spent outdoors, campers will travel by foot to Walkerton Community Centre should the weather be unsuitable. 6-12 years of age.

Imagineers - Through imagination and hands on learning, campers will design, build and create projects while learning all about engineering, science, technology and mathematics. 8-12 years of age.

Little Learners - Campers will enjoy daily play based activities, arts, crafts and water play. Each week will have a new theme and a chance to dress up. 4-6 years of age.

Swim Camp- Camp and Swimming Lessons all in one! Campers will head to the pool daily for swimming lessons from 9am -10am and return to the pool from 1-3pm for both structured and unstructured play. 6-12 years of age.

Camper Information Form 
Please complete the Camper Information form and have it ready at check-in on the first day of camp. These forms provide us with important information about your child, including:
  • emergency contact information
  • authorized individuals for end of day pick-up of campers
  • health information about your child
Camp Hours, Pick up and Drop off

Camp Hours

We offer an all-inclusive day at camp between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. 

Camper Drop off

You are welcome to drop you camper off between the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Staff will be ready to welcome your camper at the designated drop off location assigned to your camp.

Camper Pick Up

Pick up is between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. For camper safety please remember that photo ID is required to pick up your camper each day. Only individuals, 18 years of age or older listed during registration will be permitted to pick up your child(ren).

What to Wear to Camp

Campers should come prepared to have fun! For the safety and protection of your camper, closed toe shoes, weather appropriate clothing, a hat and sunscreen are required. Please label and send clothes that are comfortable to move in and that can get messy. Please refrain from bringing any valuables to camp. The Municipality of Brockton is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Lunches and Snacks

Please pack a refillable water bottle, energizing snacks including fruits and vegetables and a lunch that will not spoil. Our camps are “nut aware” we kindly ask that all families avoid sending products that may contain nuts or but products to camp. Please remind your child that they are not to share food with other campers.

Swimming

Campers will swim daily from 1-2pm, all campers will be required to complete a facility swim test. 

Inclement Weather

We are an outdoor camp, rain or shine we are here to play! In the event of significant weather, camp will be relocated to the Walkerton Community Centre.  In the case of extreme hot weather, precautions are taken to ensure the safety and well being of our campers, time outdoors will be minimized as necessary. We follow heat alerts sent out by Environment of Canada and Grey-Bruce- Public Health.

 Behavior Management

The Municipality approaches all disruptive behaviour in a supportive, positive, proactive and consistent manner using progressive behaviour management strategies. The Municipality reserves the right to withdraw a child from camp should their behaviour jeopardize the physical safety and security of themselves, participants, staff or property. Communication is provided to all parents/guardians should a situation arise.

Camp Payment Plan

For families registering for two or more weeks of camp, a payment plan is available.
