A change is proposed in your neighbourhood: The purpose of the application is to permit the retail use of pet food sales. The nursery sales related to the use of Commercial Greenhouse and Garden Centre will continue. If approved, the application would facilitate the retail use.

Community Flag Relocated to Municipal Office

The Municipality of Brockton has relocated the community flag pole to the Municipal Office at 100 Scott Street, Walkerton. All community flag raisings and lowerings will now occur at the Municipal Office rather than the former community flag pole located at Jackson and Yonge Street in Walkerton. Brockton, ON, May 27, 2022 – This year’s winner of the Walkerton Clean Water Legacy Award is Viviane Weiland, a graduate of Walkerton District Community School studying environmental biology at McGill University in Montreal.

Viviane offered a heart-felt thank you at a small ceremony at the Walkerton Heritage Water Garden this week, saying the $1,500 award will help offset the cost of living so far from home to attend school.
