As a follow-up to the Press Release issued on September 23, 2021, the Municipality of Brockton have reopened the Saugeen River Trail and boat launch at Lobies Park in Walkerton since the water levels have dropped and weather conditions have improved. We thank everyone for their cooperation when the area was barricaded during the Flood Watch.

The Municipality of Brockton invites qualified applicants for the Seasonal Heavy Equipment Operator position. Municipal Taxes are due on September 30, 2021 and November 30, 2021. Any payment received in our office after the due date will be considered late and any outstanding taxes will be subject to penalty and interest charges as per the Municipal Act. Brockton, ON, September 23 2021 – As water levels continue to rise and begin encroaching on embankment areas of Lobies Park in Walkerton and low-lying areas of the Saugeen River Trail, the Municipality of Brockton’s Parks and Recreation Department will be barricading low-lying portions of the Saugeen River Trail and boat launch area of Lobies Park in Walkerton. The barricades will be removed as the water levels subside and the area is safe.
