The Council of the Municipality of Brockton considered both the Tax Supported Operating Budget, and the Non-Tax Supported Operating Budget at their Special Council Meeting on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. As a result, they passed a resolution agreeing to cancel the Special Council Meeting originally scheduled for Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

The Municipality of Brockton is aware of the watermain break near Ridout Street and Thomas Street in Walkerton. Staff are working to resolve this matter. We appreciate your patience and will keep you informed on the situation.

Update as of 5:07 pm - There will be water shutoffs affecting residents on Ridout Street, Upper Thomas Street to McGivern Street with a possibility of affecting residents on Thomas Street and Shortt Street. The anticipated interruption may last until midnight tonight.
