Brockton, ON, May 29, 2024– The Municipality of Brockton is pleased to announce that upgrades to the Walkerton Tennis Courts are now complete! New fencing, lighting, resurfacing, and the addition of three new pickleball courts were included in this project that started construction in Summer 2023.

Mayor Chris Peabody, Councillor Greg McLean, Brockton staff, and the Brockton Parks and Recreation Sub Committee (Tennis/Pickleball Committee) gathered to celebrate the official opening of the courts...

Alternating Lane Closures on Durham Street Bridge in Walkerton

Please take notice that bridge rehabilitation repairs will be taking place from Spring 2024 to Fall 2024 at the Durham Street Bridge in Walkerton, Ontario. Motorists can expect lane closures on the bridge, with traffic control measures in place, starting the week of May 27, 2024, and ending in December 2024.

Signage will be in place during these lane closures. Users are asked to be patient and drive safely as the Contractor works to complete crucial repairs to the bridge.
