Walkerton Community Centre Bartender

The Municipality of Brockton invites qualified applicants for the position of Walkerton Community Centre Bartender. This role would be an on call/as needed position.  Hours of work will be based on the facility rental requirements with no guaranteed hours of work.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Act in accordance with this Municipal Alcohol Policy and the Liquor License Act
  • Checks identification and verifies age as required
  • Accepts tickets for the purchase of alcoholic drinks when applicable
  • Serves standard sized drinks
  • Serves a maximum of two standard sized drinks per patron per visit – no doubles
  • Monitors for intoxication
  • Refuses service when patron appears to be near intoxication.
  • Offers non-alcoholic substitutes

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Smart Serve Certified
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with the public and peers.
  • Requires strong oral communication skills (tact, diplomacy, good judgment).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Early Childhood Education Teacher

Minimum Requirements

  • Early Childhood Education Diploma or Equivalency
  • Registered member of the College of ECE
  • Experience in the Day Care field
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to follow direction and work independently
