Donna and Jim Fischer opened their newly built log and timber frame home to guests on August 1, 2008. For the comfort of guests, the home boasts geothermal in floor heating and central air conditioning on all levels, as well as passive solar heating and lighting. Guests can choose from three bedrooms – two sharing a private entrance and gathering room with walkout patio; the other located in the main floor loft. Situated on 109 acres of land, this retreat is quiet and natural, surrounded by forest and meadow next to the Saugeen River. Included in each stay is a breakfast choice of ‘Westwind Continental’ or ‘Full Country’. Catering to the business and vacation traveller, this bed and breakfast is open year-round and provides access to the river, nature trails, wildlife viewing, and is 1 km from the OFSC trail.
